Binmei has been assessed and determined to comply with FSSC 22000 certification

Zhejiang Binmei Biotechnology Co., Ltd has been assessed and determined to comply with the requirements of Food Safety System Certification FSSC22000 v5, Food Manufacturing.

The certificate is applicable for the scope of:
Production of edible Spirulina extract (blue spirulina, spirulina liquid extract)(Steep, break the cell, solid-liquid separation, filtration, ultrafiltration, spray drying, sieving, packing.).

Food safety system certification (FSSC) 22000 is a global, auditable food safety management system standard, which combines good practice (GMP), HACCP, and other management system requirements. FSSC 22000 provides a set of globally recognized standards for food enterprises, proving that they have established a comprehensive management system and fully meet the requirements of customers and industry regulations in food safety. This standard was designed to cover all processes in the food supply chain, whether directly or indirectly related to the final product. It provides a unified food safety management method for enterprises in the food supply chain and is easy to be accepted, implemented, and audited by different organizations in the food supply chain.

The promulgation of FSSC 22000 means that the food safety standards have stepped closer to the unification and global recognition. Fssc22000 combines ISO 22000:2005 food safety management system, PAS 220:2008, and other additional requirements. Its content is also recognized by the global food safety initiative (GFSI). The purpose of GFSI is to maintain the benchmark audit process of food safety management scheme, so as to realize the unification of food safety standards. At the same time, the adoption of the GFSI standard, which is generally accepted by retailers all over the world, is conducive to promoting the cost efficiency of the whole food supply chain.

FSSC 22000 is established for food manufacturers and integrates the ISO22000:2005 food safety standard and public available food safety specification (PAS) 220. It is developed by the foundation based on the Netherlands for food safety certification and supported by the food and beverage industry alliance of the European Union. FSSC 22000 has been approved by the global food safety initiative and encouraged to be vigorously promoted and implemented. The certificate will be recognized under the standards of iso22003 and ISO guide 65 (product certification), providing a complete food safety management system for the organization.
