The History Of Binmei

In 2013, Zhejiang Binmei Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was established to produce the first phycocyanin, breaking the Japanese monopoly in this field for more than 20 years. In the same year, Binmei began industrial production of blue spirulina (phycocyanin).

In 2017, Binmei built it’s new factory with an annual production of more than 200 tons of blue spirulina (phycocyanin).

On October 17, 2017, A expert team from Chr. Hansen Holding A/S visited Binmei.

On Jan.5th, 2018, Binmei developed the first reagent of heat-resistant blue spirulina (phycocyanin) in the world.

On Jan.15th, 2018, the director of Sensient Food Colors Europe visited Binmei.

In May, 2018, Binmei technical achievements were included in the Chinese National Standard of Food Safety for Additive Blue Spirulina (Phycocyanin).
